We’re pretty excited here at Noontime Labels. We love autumn, with the cooler weather that says winter is coming. And we have some big plans in the works for next year, so we’re excited about that. But before we get ahead of ourselves, we wanted to show off our featured custom wine label design, perfect for your homemade wines: Continue reading
We had a wonderful time this year at WineMaker Magazine’s annual 2015 home winemaking conference. This May we traveled to Portland, OR, and got to experience the wonders of Willamette Valley.
As usual, the wine was exquisite, and we learned so many things. Not the least of which was how to properly pronounce Willamette … “It’s Will-AM-it, dammit!” Continue reading
We don’t grow grapes here in southern Florida, so we make wine with what we have. One of our favorites is our homemade mango wine from fruit that grows in our neighborhood. Our neighbors have huge trees that produce abundant crops most years, and they are always happy to share with us.
In 2012 we made five gallons of mango wine that we’re now enjoying. We also made our first bottles of sparkling wine out of that batch. We just finished off the last bottle of sparkling mango wine, and were very sad to see it go.
What’s the best, most efficient and economical way for storing homemade wine? That’s been a big question in the Noontime household lately.
If you’re like us, you’ve found that home winemaking leads to having lots of wine to store. We recently stepped up our winemaking production so we could set aside some bottles to age. And we discovered our existing hodge-podge of homemade wine racks and boxes just couldn’t hold it all.
We needed more wine storage! So Mrs. Noontime and I looked at a number of options.
Can you believe Halloween is just two weeks away? Don’t worry, though. You still have time to order custom Halloween wine labels for your bottles of homemade wine and brew. Your bottles will be the hit of your Halloween bash, and adult “trick-or-treaters” will love them as gifts.
We’ve added several new custom Halloween wine labels to our designs. Check out three of our popular label templates:
You can find more custom Halloween wine labels to choose from at our label gallery.
To make sure you receive your labels by Halloween, simply place your order by October 26. We’ll print your personalized wine labels and ship them to you right away, so you’ll have them by October 31.
You know that I am all in favor of labeling your wine. I’ve talked many times about how personalized wine labels will make your wines more enjoyable. In fact, my opinion is custom wine labels enhance wine.
But don’t just take my word for it. Listen to Science! I recently read a couple of scientific studies that back up the fact that beautiful wine labels make better wine. Here they are:
In one study, wine drinkers were given a mid-range bottle of wine that was labeled as table wine. Later they were given the same wine, but this time it was labeled as Grand Cru.
. Now that summer is here in all its glory, we’re all looking for ways to stay cool. For home winemakers and brewers, that means chilling our homemade wines and beers to enjoy with dinner and by the pool.A cold homemade beverage shared at a barbecue or picnic tastes great in the heat, but condensation can ruin your label. If you printed your wine label at home, it could streak and run when damp, creating an unsightly mess.
Water Resistant Custom Wine Labels
But it doesn’t have to be this way. You can avoid streaks and smears and always have beautiful bottles with water resistant custom wine labels. All personalized wine labels you order from Noontime Labels are water resistant. They won’t smear or run going when you grab one from the refrigerator or cooler.
At Noontime Labels, our motto is “You make wine, we make labels.” But actually, we don’t only design and print custom wine labels… we make wine too. In fact lately, there’s lots of homemade wine at Noontime Labels!
As I mentioned in a recent post about our wine, Mrs. Noontime and I are trying to get ahead of the curve. We’re making a lot of wine, so we can finally have enough to age. Once we have a healthy surplus, we can slow down a bit.
Though I have to admit, making this much wine is a lot of fun! I’m not sure I’m going to want to slow down. I think we may just keep going until we run out of space.
